I am in New York for work and staying at the Millenium Hilton hotel across the street from the World Trade Center site. It is still a very sobering view. Here are photos taken from my hotel room.

I dont think there is a photo out there that will give the impact of how large these buildings were. I always wanted to see them but since I am afraid of heights would never have gone inside or up the elevators. I tried several times in Chicago to go up the observation deck in the Sears Tower. So I laid on the sidewalk and took photos from that vantage.
