I wish....

I wish I could post the cards I have made over the last couple of days but I can't find my camera! The beauty of my camera is that it's a sleek, light and very slim camera. It fits in my handbag and pockets without weighing it done. The downside is it's small and when you place it down in a "safe" place, well....good luck remembering where that "safe" place was!

So, what to share?

Are you all thumbs when it comes to ribbon tying? I know I am, so when I stumbled across these bow tying videos on You Tube, I screamed a huge Hallelujah!! There are a ton of them on there and it's very easy to become distracted and it is VERY easy to end up watching hours of You Tube videos, so be warned!! :-D If you find any cool ribbon tying video's share them with me...I would love to see them!

Also, I have been reading a lot of campaign news as one does and I came across this cool virtual campaign badge on Yahoo! News. OK, OK, I know I know, I don't usually share any views on politics or religion because as you can imagine, conversations turn ugly very quickly and that's not my intention. I just think the badge is cool! So skip off and go grab yours, regardless of who you support!

Can me some love...

What a weekend it has been...

We had earmarked this weekend with our friends Nancy and Holly that we were going to can tomatoes all weekend. Sounded like a great plan because it was except I had failed to inform my body I was going to put it through its paces. It is 11PM on Sunday night and the feet and back are screaming blue murder, the neck and traps are so tight I doubt I can lift my arm over my head but I can't help but smile broadly when I look at the 15x1 quart jars of whole tomatoes, the 33x 1 pint jars and 5x1 quart jars of tomato sauce sitting on the kitchen counter waiting to be placed in the cupboard for their winter debut.

We ordered our tomatoes from Smith Family Farm in Brentwood. It was our first time there and I was pleasantly surprised to come across such a quaint family run fruit and vegetable stand. Here is a collage of photos of the farm stand.

We had each picked up around 40lbs of Red tomatoes and 45/50 pounds of mixed Heirloom tomatoes. We used the Red Tomatoes for the wholes because they were fresh and firm and the Heirloom tomatoes were used for saucing. Here are some photos capturing our 2 days process.

Now onto the next project! :-D

Leaving on a jet plane....

This week I can say without a doubt has been the busiest week I have had in a VERY long time.
Apart from my card class this week, I have had zero time to create anything as I have been working 16-18 hour days for final preparations for an event we are having in New York next week.

I leave tonight on the red eye to New York!

All card swaps and long distance card class packets have been posted also!

I am pleased to say, my favorite stamps, paper and inks are packed away in their very own suitcase for the ride to New York with me, so I will definitely be posting during the coming week.

have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Honey, I'm home!!

Whew....what a day it was yesterday. I didn't think I was going to be getting out of Boston. Our flight was "indefinitely delayed" due to an air conditioning unit malfunction.

After sitting at Logan airport for hours, they finally found another plane and crew to take us to Denver where I was to catch a connecting flight for good old San Jose.

Of course, my connection was missed but I did manage to get a seat on the last flight out of Denver for San Jose which I was very thankful for even if I did arrive at 11PM (or 2AM for my body clock) :-)

So after 16 hours, I finally made it home (yippee). It just dawned on me, I could have flown from San Francisco to Melbourne Australia and made it their with a couple of hours to spare in the time it took me to get home yesterday. LOL :D

A very busy day ahead of me with work. I will be spending some tonight in the craft room as I spied 2 unopened boxed in there when i walked past - woohoo!! :-D

Have fun everyone!
